Professional membership for individuals employed full-time by a parks and recreation agency or organization that is a group member of MPRA. The organization/public agency group membership application and fee must accompany or precede your individual professional membership application. Membership Benefits: Professional staff membership includes the right to vote, hold office, section affiliation, and MPRA publications. You will receive registration discounts for MPRA events.
1. Individuals employed full time in the delivery of professional parks, recreation, and leisure services. 2. Individuals with a bachelor's degree in parks, recreation, and leisure services from an accredited university and five years of full-time employment in the field of parks, recreation, and leisure but not currently employed in the field. 3. Individuals with ten years of continuous full-time employment in the field of parks, recreation, and leisure services, but not currently employed full-time in the field. Directors: It is no longer necessary to sign up as an individual if you have completed the Public Agency form. If you register for an individual membership you will be charged an additional $118 for that membership.
1. Any public agency on the municipal, county, or state level providing parks and recreation services. 2. The public agency's director automatically becomes a professional member of MPRA, at no extra charge. Staff of the public agency may join at a reduced individual rate. 3. Public agency boards/commissions: A maximum of nine (9) lay park and recreation board/commission members are included in the membership. Please submit a Board/Commission Member form for each board/commissioner upon completion of this form. Each of these members will receive MPRA publications. Note: After you have completed the Public Agency form please fill out the Board/Commission form for each of your board/commission members. You will not be able to do this prior to filling out the Public Agency form.

Associate membership shall consist of retirees and individuals employed part-time in the parks and recreation field and individuals not principally employed in the field who are interested in the Association's objectives and services and the advancement of parks and recreation. Membership Benefits: Associate membership includes section affiliation and MPRA publications. Your listing will be included in the MPRA Membership Directory and Buyer's Guide. You will receive registration discounts for MPRA events.
Student membership shall consist of students. Anyone meeting the criteria for professional membership shall be ineligible for student membership. You will receive registration discounts for MPRA events.
Any corporation, partnership, or firm that supports and encourages the purposes of MPRA. Membership Benefits: Corporate membership includes a total of one (1) vote and MPRA publications. Your listing will be included in the MPRA Membership Directory and Buyer's Guide. You will receive registration discounts for MPRA events.

Any academic institution, military installation, hospital, commercial agency, non-profit agency, or other organization providing parks, recreation, and/or leisure services not covered under public agency membership. 2. Professional staff members may join individually at a reduced rate and receive full professional membership privileges. Local therapeutic recreation associations may also join MPRA at the organizational rate. Individual members of a MPRA member local therapeutic recreation association may join MPRA as professional members at a reduced rate and receive full professional membership privileges.
